#1: PRE-CON MEETING
(Also known as “Passing of the Torch”)
Your Pre-Construction Meeting marks the official start of your build. This is where all final details are reviewed, approved, and confirmed before construction begins, ensuring everyone is aligned before the first shovel hits the ground.
During this meeting, we will:
- Review the plot plan
- Review construction blueprints
- Review the home elevation
- Confirm garage orientation (garage right or garage left)
- Establish a dig date
- Discuss the overall construction timeline
- Review the change order process (if applicable)
- Introduce your dedicated Project Manager
- Set up the communication process, including weekly update emails
- Review next steps
This meeting ensures clear expectations and a smooth transition into the construction phase.
#2: DESIGN SELECTION MEETINGS
Your design selections bring your home to life. These three guided meetings with our team designer are structured to keep decisions organized, efficient, and enjoyable.
The design process includes:
- Meeting 1: Exterior selections – siding, stone, and exterior colors
- Meeting 2: Interior finishes – flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and more
- Meeting 3: Lighting selections – fixtures and placement
Our design team helps you create a cohesive look that reflects your personal style while maintaining balance and long-term appeal.
#3: PRE-DRYWALL WALKTHROUGH/MEETING
Before drywall installation, we walk through your home together to review all behind-the-walls details. This step ensures accuracy before systems are covered and construction moves forward.
During this walkthrough, we:
- Confirm all approved change orders are installed
- Review plumbing and HVAC locations
- Mark electrical and lighting locations and review custom options
- Mark low-voltage locations and review custom options
- Confirm cabinet layouts
- Review fireplace location and height
- Verify all items are correct prior to drywall installation
- Discuss next steps
This walkthrough provides peace of mind that everything is exactly where it should be.
#4: TRIM WALKTHROUGH
Once drywall is complete, the Trim Walkthrough focuses on the detailed finishes that define your home’s character.
This meeting includes:
- Confirming all approved change orders are installed
- Reviewing trim around mirrors, windows, and doors
- Reviewing mantel and staircase trim
- Marking closet and pantry shelving layouts
- Reviewing mudroom boot bench design
- Discussing any buyer-specific features
This step ensures finishing details align with your expectations before final installations.
#5: WOW WALKTHROUGH (Warranty Orientation Walkthrough)
The WOW Walkthrough is your first full tour of the completed home. It’s one of the most exciting milestones in buying a home in Northwest Arkansas, because it’s where everything comes together and your move-in preparation begins.
During the WOW Walkthrough, we:
- Review and document any touch-up items
- Test mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Review your Homeowner’s Manual and warranty process
- Provide access to instructional videos and care resources
It’s an exciting moment where planning, design, and construction come together.
#6: PRE-CLOSING WALKTHROUGH MEETING
The Pre-Closing Walkthrough is the final step before move-in day. Together, we complete a final review and confirm all punch-list items are resolved.
This ensures every detail is complete and ready before closing, allowing you to move in with confidence and peace of mind.
